INTRODUCTION TO PIANO/KEYBOARD—Both sessions from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon; July 9-13 or July 16-20; Evening session—Tuesday evenings June 26-July 24 from 6:30-7:30 PM.
Must have your own keyboard for home practice.
Does your child enjoy fiddling around on the keyboard? Do you suspect he has the predisposition for mastering the piano?
This 5 day session will introduce your child to reading music and playing the keyboard or piano. Our focus will be on learning to play melodies on the keyboard while learning the basic rudiments of rhythm and note reading. For ages 8-11. Fee - $65 including beginning method book.
INTRODUCTION TO BRASS & WOODWIND INSTRUMENTS—Both sessions from 10:00 to 11:00 AM; Introduction
Session I: July 9-13; Introduction Session II: July 16-20.
Does your child show an interest in playing an instrument? Each 5 day group session your student to their instrument with an emphasis on developing fingering skills and readingmusic. Students must rent a brass or woodwind instrument and purchase a beginning method book. For ages 8-11. Fee - $65 per session.
INTRODUCTION TO PERCUSSION—11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon; Introduction Session I: July 9-13; Introduction Session II: July 16-20.
Does your child show an interest in playing percussion? Each 5-day group session introduces your student to proper hand position, reading music, and beginning rudiments. Students must purchase a beginning method book; sticks and drum pad will be provided. For ages 8-11. Fee - $65 per session.
ARCHITECTURE CAMP--10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon; June 11-15.
Does your child love to doodle, draw cubes and geometric shapes, or love to build with LEGO, Lincoln Logs or even paper ?
This one- week camp will introduce drafting, perspective, and structural concepts. For ages 9-12. Materials needed-none.
Fee - $120.
INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY-- 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM; 5 weeks beginning June 20. Everyone has a camera these days, but do your photographs turn out as well as you envision them? Here is a 5 week introductory photography class open to students of all ages. Lessons will focus on juxtaposition of shadow and light, unique perspective and dramatic angles, action shots, and
portraiture. We are sure to go outside for nature shots, so wear comfy shoes! Camera required. Fee - $60.
